Black Moonstone tumbles

Black Moonstone is a variety of Moonstone that was recently discovered in Madagascar. It can be seen containing white, grey, brown and tan colors running throughout almost every piece. Moonstone, also known as Hecatolite, is an aluminum, potassium, sodium, silicate (alkali), feldspar mineral, and variety of Orthoclase (with Albite inclusions). Moonstone has a shimmering effect that occurs on the stone’s surface during light diffraction.
