Plum Blossom Jasper is technically black amygdaloidal andesite. Closer related to Basalt, but it is sold with the trade names Plum Blossom Jasper/Jade or Ru Jade. Called Ru Jade due to being found in Ruyang, China. Amygdule Basalt forms when lava/magma from a volcano cools and minerals collect inside the cooled air bubbles.
