Red Moss Agate sphere

Red Moss Agate (aka Moss Agate w/ Carnelian) is a beautiful and rare combination of 2 materials.

Moss agate isn't actually moss or technically an agate. It is a variety of chalcedony, belonging to the quartz family. The spreading moss-like dendritic inclusions you see in moss agate are mostly oxides of manganese or iron. Carnelian is an orange-colored variety of Chalcedony. Its color varies from pale pinkish-orange to a deep rusty brown, though it is most known for its brilliant orange and red-orange crystals.
