Lemurian Quartz has a unique appearance with horizontal striations or a barcode appearance along its sides. This is the main factor in distinguishing between the two. Regular quartz is found in many places around the world, while Lemurian quartz is primarily sourced from the Diamantina region of Brazil.
The development of Lemurian crystals is extraordinarily fragile, and this characteristic contributed to the name. When a Lemurian Crystal grows within a cluster, it might become so weak that it falls out into the crystal cave's floor. Ancient communities believed the crystals waiting for them on the ground were seeds of wisdom set for the taking when they came upon these caves.
Some of the towers have keys or imprints. A key in a Quartz crystal is caused when two crystals grew closely to one another, but is no longer intact or attached to the crystal, they look like a molding or impression of another crystal that was growing next to it/within it, the key is visual evidence of this occurrence.
Towers measure from 1.8" to 3.5"
